What A Connection Is

An Interchange connection is an approved relationship between two workspaces. Connections are shown separately from pending, rejected, or cancelled requests.

Connections can represent data flowing into your workspace, data flowing out of your workspace, or an approved chat relationship.

Connection Types

  • Receiving: Your workspace receives data from another workspace.
  • Sending: Your workspace sends data to another workspace.
  • Chat: Your workspace can message another workspace through an approved Interchange relationship.

View Connections

  1. Open Data.
  2. Open Interchange.
  3. Select Active.
  4. Filter by Receiving or Sending if needed.
  5. Search by company name or data type.

Connections are grouped by workspace so you can see every relationship with the same company in one place.

Pause Or Resume A Data Connection

Pause a connection when data sharing should stop temporarily but the relationship should remain available.

Resume a connection when sharing should continue.

Chat connections do not use pause and resume. A chat relationship is either active or removed.

Remove A Connection

Remove a connection when the relationship is no longer needed, the wrong data was approved, or the partner should no longer receive data.

Removing a data connection deactivates that side of the relationship. Removing a chat connection disables your workspace's chat keys for the peer workspace. The peer may still need to remove the relationship from their side.

When To Review Connections

Review active connections when:

  • A contract ends.
  • A participant leaves a program.
  • A borrower exits a portfolio.
  • A subcontractor is no longer under review.
  • A data sharing request was approved by mistake.
  • Privacy or compliance rules change.

Keep active connections limited to current business relationships. Remove or pause stale connections so reporting, risk review, and chat stay tied to active partners.
