What Privacy Settings Control

Interchange privacy settings control which company details other workspaces can use to find your workspace in directory search.

These settings affect discovery. They do not automatically approve data sharing. Another workspace can send a request, but your workspace still decides whether to approve it.

Fields You Can Show Or Hide

You can control visibility for:

  • Company name
  • Principal contact
  • Address
  • NAICS codes
  • CSI codes
  • Phone number

Company name, principal contact, NAICS codes, and CSI codes are commonly useful for discovery. Address and phone number are more sensitive and should be shown only when needed.

Update Privacy Settings

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Interchange.
  3. Review the directory preview.
  4. Turn fields on or off.
  5. Save the settings.

The preview shows how your workspace may appear to other workspaces.

Trade contractors usually show company name, principal contact, NAICS codes, and CSI codes so general contractors and program managers can find the right company. Address and phone number can stay hidden unless direct contact discovery is needed.

Program managers, CDFIs, and city teams usually show organization name and principal contact so participants can identify official requests.

General contractors usually show company name and relevant trade or industry codes so subcontractors can recognize the requester.

If Partners Cannot Find You

Check that:

  • Company name is enabled.
  • Relevant NAICS or CSI codes are enabled.
  • Company information is complete in workspace settings.
  • The requester is searching with the correct field.
  • The requester has the correct workspace UUID if searching by UUID.

Privacy Guidance

Show enough information for trusted partners to identify your workspace. Avoid exposing contact or location details that are not needed for discovery.
