Request data when another workspace needs to share information with your workspace for review, monitoring, reporting, or collaboration.
Examples:
- A program manager requests participant financial and compliance data.
- A CDFI requests borrower financial health data.
- A general contractor requests subcontractor score, bonding, and project data.
- A workspace invites another workspace into cross-workspace chat.
- Open Data.
- Open Interchange.
- Select Request Data.
- Search for the workspace.
- Select the correct workspace from the results.
- Confirm the workspace details.
- Select the data types you want to request.
- Optional: enable cross-workspace chat if it is available.
- Submit the request.
The request appears in your outgoing requests list. It appears as an incoming request for the target workspace.
You can search for a workspace by:
- Company or organization name
- Address
- Admin contact
- Domain
- Phone number
- NAICS code
- CSI code
- Workspace UUID
If search results are incomplete, the target workspace may need to update its Interchange privacy and directory settings.
Choose only the data needed for the decision or workflow. Requesting more data than necessary can slow down approval because the target workspace has to review the full request.
Common request sets:
- Participant monitoring: ConStrat Score, Financial Data, Compliance Information, Headcount.
- Subcontractor review: ConStrat Score, Bonding Capacity, Current Projects, Compliance Information.
- Financial risk review: Financial Data, Revenue, Receivables, Payables, Debt, Liabilities, Profit Margin.
- Project readiness: Current Projects, Project Timeline, Budget Information, Contract Details.
After submission, the target workspace can approve or reject the request.
If approved, the request becomes an active connection. If rejected, no connection is created. If chat was included, chat becomes available only after the other workspace accepts the request.
Ask the target workspace to confirm:
- Their company name is visible in Interchange privacy settings.
- Their relevant NAICS or CSI codes are set.
- Their workspace UUID is correct.
- You are searching with the right field.
