What This Means

If you are a trade contractor, Interchange lets trusted partners request data from your workspace. You decide whether to approve the request.

Approving can help general contractors, program managers, lenders, or CDFIs review your business without repeated manual exports.

Common Requesters

  • General contractors reviewing subcontractor risk, bonding, compliance, and capacity.
  • Program managers collecting participant data for eligibility, compliance, and reporting.
  • CDFIs or lenders monitoring borrower financial health.
  • City development teams tracking program outcomes and public funding requirements.

Before You Approve

Confirm:

  • You recognize the requesting organization.
  • The request matches an active business relationship.
  • The requested data types are reasonable.
  • The data is complete and up to date enough to share.
  • Your organization has approved sharing if internal review is required.

Data You May Be Asked To Share

You may see requests for:

  • ConStrat Score
  • Financial Data
  • Compliance Information
  • Headcount
  • Current Projects
  • Bonding Capacity
  • Revenue
  • Receivables, payables, debt, and liabilities
  • Contract details

Ask the requester to narrow the request if it includes data that is not needed.

Approve Or Reject

Approve when the requester is trusted and the request matches the relationship. Reject when you do not recognize the requester, the request is too broad, or you are not ready to share.

Rejected requests do not create active data connections.

Stop Sharing Later

You can remove or pause active data connections from the Interchange connections page. Review active connections regularly, especially after a project, program, or loan relationship ends.

Make Your Workspace Easy To Find

Use Interchange privacy settings to show the information partners need to identify you. Company name, principal contact, NAICS codes, and CSI codes are often enough for discovery without exposing unnecessary contact details.
